A little bit more housekeeping before I dive into the first book I’ll be studying and journaling about. I have two more tools that I’m using on a regular basis. Both of these come highly recommended by Dr. Dain Heer. If you read my Musings series, you’ve probably seen me mention his name before.
Recently, I received an email from Dain with a discount offer inside it. Something about it just fell right, so I bought the video. I’ve listened to it many times over, and I’m going to keep listening to it. Energy shifts noticeably when I listen to him talk.
He mentions several tools in this video, most of which I’ve heard him talk about several times before. And I encourage all of you looking to create change in your life to go listen to his YouTube channel. He’s got some really good stuff on there. Keep an open mind.
Tool #1 that I am adopting for the second time in my life is putting away ten percent of all money that crosses my path. I did this once before during the pandemic while my health store was failing. That was really difficult to do, but I definitely understand the value of it.
Because of doing that then, I actually have some money in the bank now. Not a lot, but an amount that feels good. And I’m ready to see it grow.
I have a few cool possessions because of saving that money years ago. I used it to buy a few things that have intrinsic value, such as silver and firearms. Otherwise, the ten percent money isn’t to be spent. It’s there so that I have money.
If you want to hear the full reasoning for the ten percent money, you’ll need to go listen to Dr. Dain talk about money. It won’t be too difficult to find on his YouTube channel.
It was beneficial enough for me to do it in the past that I’m doing it again. And I don’t plan on stopping this time.
This is a bit of a scary step for me because I haven’t been making enough to cover my bills for a couple of months now. That’s why my focus is on creating. Right now, I need to create more money.
Honestly, I think this tool works best when you start doing it when you have that feeling of not making or having enough money. Or maybe that’s when I need to do it the most. That seems to be when I’m willing to give it a try.
I’m going to make it stick this time. I really like the idea of what my savings will look like in a year or two of doing this. Take a moment and get a sense of what that would be like for you. If it feels exciting or expensive, full of possibilities, then maybe you’re ready to do it as well. I’m getting restarted today.
The 2nd tool that I’m using all the time right now is asking the question, “Who does this belong to?” I find that I frequently get stuck in heavy emotions that overwhelm or depress me. Asking that question as many times as it takes allows a lot of yuck and stuck to dissipate.
Dr. Dain talks about that one a lot, too. I’ve just never consistently used it before. Now I’m using it all the time. It really does make my world lighter.
Those are all the tools that I’m actively using on a regular basis as of right now. Although you could count listening to a motivational or clearing video on a frequent basis. Dr. Dain Heer is one of my favorites to listen to. Go check him out. Opening that door might change your world.
My favorite part of all this is knowing how quickly things can change. My life changed dramatically within a year and a month of starting my Musings journal. I was actively asking in it how things could get better.
Here’s a secret no one has probably said to you before. There is so much power and magic in asking questions. Questions open you up to a whole world of possibilities.
Statements and conclusions solidify things. They box you in and limit you.
If you want change, start asking questions. I’ll definitely be demonstrating this throughout all my nonfiction. I feel like I’ve got intermediate-level skills at asking questions now, too. And getting better all the time.
I’m taking inventory of where I am now as a way to see how far I’ve come when I look back in a year. I’m expecting big changes as I put in the work and use the tools. I’d love for you to take this journey with me.
I’ll be posting my entries on my website (TirzahMMHawkins.com) so that you can read along as I write and leave comments letting me know what you’re working on changing and what tools you’re using. I’ll be happy to cheer you on and encourage you. I’m always open to receiving encouragement for myself as well. Let’s contribute to each other.
Over the weekend, I completed a mud run with my oldest sister and my niece. I surprised myself at how well I did because I haven’t worked out in a while. I’m very out of shape and heavier than I’ve been for most of my life.
I almost backed out of doing it, too. A few days before, I convinced myself that it was a bad idea. But then I didn’t want to disappoint my niece and sister. I showed up determined to at least have a good time. And I did. It was a blast. Now I want to get back into running shape and do more events. What is possible here?
My excuse for not working out has been that I don’t have time. I spend most of my days trying to make money or looking for new gigs. I no longer want to do this. I’m working on balance and making time for leisure and exercise while I grow my income. How does it get better than it is now?
I’ve actually sold a few books on Amazon in the last couple of days. I keep watching my sales and am pleasantly surprised as I see them grow. Each time I look, I ask how it gets even better.
I have a few ideas in the works for new books, and I’ll be releasing some that I haven’t made available before.
What will it take to make my living from my writing again? What will it take to grow my writing income to even more than it ever was before with total ease?
I’m always asking for ease in fulfilling my goals. Why do things have to be difficult? Why not ask what it would take to exceed your goals with ease? I definitely will be.
